Welcome to the Parker PTO!

The Parker Elementary PTO is committed to enriching every child's academic and musical education at our school. With an award-winning magnet program for music, our diverse community comprises 80 teachers and staff and more than 820 students and their families.

At Parker, there are no PTO fees. If you are part of the Parker Community, you are automatically a member of the PTO!

Returning PTO Members: Update Your Student's Grade and Teacher in the Directory

To receive School Store items, sign up for Afterschool Enrichment Clubs, and see relevant forms for your student, you must update your student's grade and homeroom teacher in the directory. Here's how to do it:

Step 1. Go to your directory page (you may receive a prompt to log in first). Use the "Update My Directory Information" button below as a shortcut.

Step 2: Review your information on the first page and make any updates as needed. You are not done yet! Then scroll down and hit "Next Step>" at the bottom right of the page.

Step 3: Update your student's information by following the steps on the page. When you are done, hit the "Save" button on the bottom right.

Manage Your Subscriptions

Want to stay in the loop? You can choose to have newsletters delivered straight to your email, and PTO calendar events synced automatically to your phone or computer's calendar app.  Follow the steps below. 

Step 1. Log in and click your name in the Login Box

 Step 2. Select the Subscriptions tab on your Profile.

Step 3. Scroll down and choose which newsletter communication lists you'd like to receive.

Step 4. Scroll down and follow the directions for subscribing with your particular calendar application (Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Outlook, etc.).

Once set up, newsletters will land in your inbox and calendar events and your volunteer shifts will update automatically — no manual checking required!

To see all upcoming PTO Events, visit the PTO Calendar page using the "Events" menu drop-down. We update this calendar regularly, so check back often!

For the Parker School Calendar, visit the Parker School Calendar Page on our page using the "Events" menu drop-down or by visiting the Parker Elementary Calendar Page directly on the School's Website.  When viewing the Parker School Calendar, you can subscribe and add the events to your personal calendar on your phone or computer by clicking on the RSS icon in the top right corner.

2026/2027 VIPS Registration

Register with HISD Volunteers in Public Schools (also known as VIPS) as soon as possible to save time before your first volunteer event! You will need to do this if you plan to attend field trips or any other school event.

Every new school year requires a new VIPS approval, so be sure to visit HISD's VIPS page to complete your training and registration. Registration for the 26/27 school year opens Monday, August 10. If you register before then, you will need to redo it once registation opens.

Once you are approved, you will receive an email confirmation and the school will be able to see your approval in their system when you arrive to volunteer. When volunteering, you must present a valid ID.
