Spring 2025 Book Fair

What is the scholastic book fair?

The Scholastic Book Fair is a temporary event hosted at the school where students can buy books at low prices. Books are organized by age/grade level, making shopping easy for students of all ages and reading levels.

Not only do students look forward to the Book Fair, but Scholastic also gives a portion of the proceeds back to Parker PTO, which we then invest back into our school. It is a win-win for the Parker Community!

When can my child shop and purchase books?

During their CCR library time, with a pass from their teacher, or during one of our special events, for adults to join them. All times are provided below:

What forms of payment are accepted?

Cash, Check (Made payable to Parker PTO), Gift Certificate, E-Wallet, Credit Card & Apple Pay (with guardian permission).

My child is younger; will there be an adult to assist them?

We have volunteers to help at the Book Fair to help students manage available funds/purchases. We recommend sending money in an envelope with their name and teacher’s name on it.

Want to volunteer? Sign up on our Volunteers Page, or 🔗click here.

What is the difference between a gift certificate and an e-wallet?

A gift certificate is purchased through the PTO, whereas an E-Wallet is purchased through Scholastic. Any remaining balance on an e-wallet stays in Scholastic’s system, while gift certificate balances can be donated to the library.

🔗 Purchase Gift Certificates here.

🔗Learn more about e-wallets right from the Scholastic website by clicking here.

🔗Create your student's e-wallet and see more about Parker's Book Fair by clicking here.

Is there a fund where I can donate for students who may not have enough funds for a book?

Here is a link to the Parker Community Account e-wallet.  Anyone can make a donation to this e-wallet to benefit students at Parker who may need assistance to purchase a book from the book fair.  It is under Ms. Hokanson's name and states 5th grade, however, it is not for 5th grade students exclusively (Scholastic makes us choose a grade level).  Students in need of all grade levels will benefit.

Grown-ups only need to be VIPS-approved if they are volunteering.

If a grown-up is shopping with a student during lunch or after school on Wednesday, they will get a Visitor Pass from the front office.
