Roll the Dice and enjoy a night of glitz and glam at the 2025 Parker Elementary PTO Auction Gala: Viva Las Vegas!

 

The Annual Auction Gala is our major fundraising event, benefiting Parker's students and staff. All funds raised will help ensure that every child is supported as they learn and grow.

 

The gala will be held on Friday, February 21st, from 6:30 to 10:30 PM at the Cohen House at Rice University. It will include dinner, two drink tickets, dancing, table games, and silent and live auctions. Child care at Westbury Baptist is included in the ticket price. This year's theme is Viva Las Vegas, so don’t forget your dancing shoes, and get ready to bid on some great items to raise money for our favorite elementary school!

Ticket Price: $120 per person

In addition to the event entry, which includes the live auction, each ticket includes dinner, two drink tickets, table games, and childcare provided by the Westbury Baptist Church team.

The funds raised at this event provide classroom materials, outdoor enhancements, and teacher appreciation gifts, and overall supplement our school’s budget to provide EVERY student the best educational experience at Parker Elementary. 

 

 

 

We are excited to have you join us for the upcoming gala! Here is everything you need to know. 

 

  1. Fill out THIS Registration childcare form BEFORE the auction. 

  2. Bring CASH if you want more drinks beyond your drink tickets. 

  3. Time: 6:30pm-10:30pm; kids must be picked up before 11pm. 



Childcare: Childcare will be provided through Westbury Baptist Church, 10425 Hillcroft Street. If you decide to use childcare, please complete the form BEFORE the auction.  Please note that Westbury Baptist will not provide dinner but will have some snack options. They will have water bottles available, but we highly encourage you to bring your own. While at Westbury Baptist, children will get to enjoy:

  • Movies & Snacks

  • Games & Fun

  • Gaga Ball & Gym Time

You will drop off in the back parking lot at the Family Life Center, located off Rampart, starting at 6:00pm. Be sure to pick up your child before 11pm.

 

Attire: It’s VEGAS, and anything goes! If you need inspiration, see the attached picture. Have fun with it, because our photo booth and decor will provide plenty of photo ops! 

 

Table Games: included with your entry ticket, each guest will receive a voucher worth $5,000 in chips. Dealers will exchange these vouchers for chips. If guests wish to purchase additional chips, they can scan the provided QR code at the venue, complete their purchase, and show the confirmation to a dealer, who will then provide the $1,000 chips for ten dollars. At the end of the night, guests can "cash out" their chips for raffle tickets, with each $1,000 in chips earning you one raffle ticket. These tickets can be entered into the raffle drawing, and winners will be announced at the end of the event.

 

Pre-Check-in: Avoid the long lines and have your credit card run before school on Friday morning. We will be in front of the school/community room starting at 7:15 am. We need to run your credit card to bid on grade-level baskets, live auction items, socials, or participate in the head/tales raffle. 

 

Auction: On the event day, you will check in and receive a packet. There will be 2 lines.  One for those that did pre-check and one for those that have not checked in. Your packet will contain the following items:

  • Drink tickets that came with your purchase

  • Your bid number, you will have a number that has been assigned to you and your guest. To bid on an item, look for our fun pens and write your bid on the bid sheet, and your card on file will be charged, if you are the winner. 

  • Live auction paddle, this will have your bid number on it; live auction will be at 8:00pm

 

Cohen House: See attached map. Dedicated parking attendants will open parking gates 30 minutes before event time. If you arrive after 6:30, you will push the call button and say you’re with Parker Auction. Doors open at 6:30pm, and our food service will begin at 7:00pm. You can use your drink ticket for sodas, sparkling water, house wine, and domestic and imported beer. There are no ATMs on site, and NO CREDIT CARDS will be accepted at the bar. It is a CASH BAR ONLY. We will not be selling drink tickets. 

 

Food: There will be dinner and dessert. It is not a seated dinner; it’s station style, meaning a variety of foods in smaller portions.  Vegetarian options will be available. Water and tea will also be available. 

 

Volunteer: we need your help during the auction.  This is a great way to meet people and see everyone’s attire! There are plenty of shifts, so you can help and have plenty of time for fun!

How can YOU be a part of the fun?

Host a social

Have you wanted to meet new parents, share a cool hobby, or just love to host parties? A spring Social can be geared toward kids, adults, or families! These will have limited space and be available first to auction attendees. Proposed socials must be registered by January 31st .

A few fun ideas: PJs & Pancakes Breakfast, Pizza & Movie Night, Wine Tasting on your favorite patio,  S’mores by the Campfire, Nerf Battles, outdoor yoga- get creative.

Build a basket

Each grade level will be asked to contribute items to a 'themed' basket that will be displayed and available for purchase during the auction.

 Items will be delivered to the school, and volunteers will help to assemble them.

Would you or your business like to offer a service package, tickets, vacation rentals, or oversized ticket items for auction? We would love to feature your donation! All donations are tax-deductible, and no items or services are too small- we can bundle items together for the best bidding!

 

 Donate to the Wine & Whiskey Pull

Have an extra bottle of wine or Whiskey sitting around that is collecting dust or is not your favorite variety? Please give them to us! We are collecting any bottle of wine or Whiskey that retails for over $20. You can begin to drop off at Jeanette Mueller's house after winter break - 5615 Portal Dr.; a few blocks away from campus.
