As Parker PTO President, I want to take a moment to acknowledge the challenges many of our families may be facing regarding the current political situation. We understand this is a difficult time for many in our community, and I want to assure you that the PTO is here to support you when we can.

We believe in the strength of our diverse school community and the power of unity. We must continue supporting one another, showing kindness, and ensuring every family feels safe and valued.

With that, PTO has turned off the visibility of home addresses on the PTO directory. If you would like someone’s address and they have shared their contact information, contact the person directly.

The Afterschool Enrichment Clubs Team is excited to offer so many clubs this semester. Almost every club still has plenty of spots, but some clubs still need more students to participate to meet the minimum number. 

Is your student interested in a club but does not meet the grade-level requirement? Email ParkerEnrichmentProgram@gmail.com, and we will contact the instructor.

During the month of February, the Parker PTO is providing football-themed notes at the front office. Parents and students can use these notes to write a sweet message to our amazing Parker staff telling them why they are the MVP or "Most Valuable Player!"

There are two ways to share the love:

1️⃣"You're the MVP!" notes were sent home in the Tuesday folder.  Lost it, problem! They can be found on the pto website and at the front office. There will be a box for you to drop off your notes, and then PTO will deliver messages to teachers and staff.

2️⃣Can't make it to drop off a note? We've also gone digital! Fill out the form linked on the button below, and PTO will print and deliver your note.

Tips for a great note:
✔️Include the teacher or staff member's name and grade
✔️Be specific! Tell us why they are the best of the best
✔️Let them know who the note is from!

Let's tackle our teachers and staff with kindness and let them know we think they are the real MVPs!

Our annual Auction Gala is right around the corner! 

Here’s your auction gala download: 

♣️ What is the auction gala? It is an annual adult-only fundraising event that includes a silent and live auction, dinner, and dancing. A variety of items from parents, teachers, and businesses will be auctioned off at the event.

♠️What is the theme for the Gala and what is included? This year’s theme is Viva Las Vegas! In addition to both silent and live auctions, tickets to attend the gala include fun Las Vegas-style table games, dinner, two drink tickets, and childcare provided by the Westbury Baptist team. This is your chance to dress up, get your dancing shoes on, and get your Vegas glam on for a great cause.

❤️What is a Grade-Level Basket? This year, each grade level is hosting a themed basket that will be auctioned at the event. The Parker community is invited to donate to Grade-Level Baskets by purchasing items from the Grade Level’s Amazon Wish List by 2/13. Our team of volunteers will assemble the baskets to go on display at the Gala.

It is February in Houston, which means it is cold in the mornings and hot by the afternoons. With the fluctuations in temperature, we're seeing a significant increase in lost-and-found items. To make it easier for kids to identify their lost items, we have made a few updates:

• Jackets and sweaters can be found on one rack in the Community room and another near the orange stage
• Water bottles and lunch boxes are near the cafeteria

Volunteers led by Amanda Go have been working with the Student Council, who have been working one recess a week, to help return clearly labeled items to their owners.

Please remind your students to check these places if they have lost items. Labeling items with FIRST and LAST names helps us return them to their owners.
