As we Spring into April, it’s hard to believe how quickly the school year is flying by! Looking back at March, I’m filled with gratitude for the support and energy our community has shown. We kicked off the month with Spirit Day, partnering with Papa John’s and raising money for our PTO—thank you to everyone who participated!

Our Book Fair was an absolute triumph, with over $35,000 in sales—$10,000 more than last year! This was all made possible by the hard work of over 150 dedicated volunteers who helped with everything from picking up books to restocking shelves, reading to students, and ringing up sales. Your time and enthusiasm truly made this event a success, and we couldn't have done it without you.

Moving Family Night indoors because of the rain didn't dampen the fun! Family Night was another highlight for March. Our open mic night was filled with incredible performances, and Rockett Fuel BBQ served up the best BBQ in town. It’s moments like these that remind me how fortunate we are to have such an engaged and supportive community.

As we near the finish line of the school year, let’s keep the momentum going and finish strong. We have some exciting things planned for the final stretch, and I look forward to continuing this journey together. Thank you for everything you do!

It is STAAR Testing Season! Help us stock the lounge with snacks and drinks to fuel our amazing teachers through their busy days.

As a quick reminder, STAAR tests are on the following dates (and Parker is a closed campus these days, too):

• April 15: Reading for Grades 3, 4, and 5
• April 22: Science for Grade 5
• April 24: Math for Grades 3, 4, and 5

We’re giving a big “howdy” to all zoned and accepted magnet 2025-2026 Kindergarten students with Kinder Round-Up! We have a fun morning in store for future Lions, where they can hear from our PTO President, meet our Kindergarten teachers, visit the school store, and snap some super-cute photos.

Spring Cleaning your to-do list? You can check off next year’s school supplies! Start out your student’s school year with the exact school supplies teachers requested. All supplies will be delivered to the classrooms.

Join the PTO leadership team and make a difference in our school community! We’re looking for passionate and dedicated parents to serve as board members and committee chairs. This is a great opportunity to support our students, collaborate with teachers, and help plan exciting events. No experience is needed—just a willingness to contribute your time and ideas! Get involved, make connections, and directly impact our school’s success.

As Principal Carter discussed in the Parker Pulse, our new school hours for the 2025-2026 school year will be 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

• 3:00-6:00

The Parker Class of 2025 will be graduating before we know it!

Planning is underway to make the end-of-year special for the kids.

The festivities will include:

• Three "Fun Fridays" in May
• Service Project Field Trip
• Memory Book
• All Day Fun Day at Westbury Baptist on June 2nd
• Promotion Ceremony on June 3rd

5th Grade Celebration Donation

To help off-set costs of these celebratory events, we are asking each 5th Grade family to contribute $20
