SUBJECT: Yeehaw! February News: Disco Rodeo Edition

🚨Gala Tickets On Sale Through Tuesday!🚨

The Parker Auction & Gala is an adults-only celebration that combines a great night out with a great cause. This annual fundraiser supports Parker PTO and helps provide important resources for our students, staff, and school.

Expect great company and unforgettable experiences, all while making a real impact on our school community.

Tickets are limited and sales close Tuesday, February 17. Do not miss it.

📅 Gala: Friday, February 27 at 6:30 PM
📍 Where: Cohen House at Rice University
🎶 Theme: Disco Rodeo
👗 Attire: 1970s disco, western rodeo, or a fun mix of both. The bolder, the better.

🎟️ Tickets:
Early bird tickets are $99 per person through February 15. After that, prices increase to $120. Ticket sales end February 17, grab yours now.

💕You can also sponsor a teacher ticket. New this year, you get to choose which teacher you support. Even if you cannot attend, your donation helps include our staff and cover event costs. Tickets and donations are available on the PTO website.

🍽️ What’s Included with Your Ticket:
Dinner, two drink tickets, childcare, and access to exclusive live and silent auction items.

🪩 Tables and Seating:
This is a mingle-and-move kind of night. There is no formal seated dinner, just open tables for casual seating, dancing, and socializing.

🏷️ Reserved tables are available for $500 and include a table sign with your company name and a dedicated home base for the evening. Only three tables available. Tables do not include tickets.

Bottom line: Tickets close February 17. If you want to be there, now is the time to buy.

✨Fun Things To Do at the Gala✨
Heads/Tails Raffle🪙

$20 to play! We flip a coin, and participants choose heads or tails. We keep going until there is one winner. Courtney, last year's winner, won over $800!

Table Games🎲

Your ticket will include chips to play table games. We will have craps, blackjack, and roulette. Additional chips can be purchased during the event using a QR code. It is important to note that cash will not be accepted at the event.

Table games are for entertainment purposes only. Chips carry no monetary value, nor will there be cash winnings. Raffle prizes will be awarded.

Dinner🍴

There will be passed hors d’oeuvres and a buffet-style dinner and dessert. Come hungry.

The menu includes crowd favorites like:

  • Shrimp shooters

  • Empanadas

  • A gourmet cheese bar with fruit and nuts

  • Mini southwest Caesar salads

  • Brisket and sausage

  • Two mac and cheese bars (yes, one is truffle)

  • Mini pecan tarts

  • Banana pudding shooters

In other words, this is not your typical fundraiser food. It is a full-on feast.

Specialty Cocktails and Other Drinks🍸

Your Gala ticket includes two complimentary drink tickets to get the party started. If you would like more, be sure to bring cash for additional drinks.

You can use your drink tickets for:

  • Specialty event cocktails

  • Sparkling water

  • Soda

  • House wine

  • Domestic and imported beer

Important to note: there are no ATMs on site, and the bar is cash only. Credit cards will not be accepted, and additional drink tickets will not be sold. Bring cash if you plan to keep the drinks flowing.

How Does Childcare Work?

Childcare will be provided through Westbury Baptist Church (10425 Hillcroft St Houston, TX 77096). If you choose to use this childcare, you will receive an email before the event with a registration form to fill out.

A full dinner will not be provided, but we will have some snack options. Water will be provided; however, we strongly encourage you to bring your own, clearly labeled water bottle. While at Westbury Baptist, kids are separated by age and will get to enjoy:

  • Movies and snacks
  • Games and fun
  • Gaga ball and gym time

You will drop off in the Family Life Center's back parking lot, located off Rampart, starting at 6:00 pm. Be sure to pick up your child before 11:00 pm.

🤠Auction 101🤠

There are lots of fun ways to jump in and bid, whether you are joining us in person or from home:

💻 Online Auction
The online auction opens Sunday, February 22, at 7 pm and is open to everyone. Perfect for early birds and those who cannot attend in person. The online auction closes on Friday, February 27, at 8:00 pm.

🧺 In-Person Silent Auction at the Gala
Browse and bid on grade-level baskets and Spring Socials throughout the event. Missed the party? A limited number of items will reopen for bidding on Monday after the auction.

🎤 In-Person Live Auction at the Gala

This is where the excitement peaks. The live auction brings fast-paced bidding and fan-favorite experiences.

Bid for your child to step into a staff role like Ms. D, Coach Chili, Mr. Carter, Ms. Hokanson, or Nurse B for the day. These priceless moments are some of the most sought-after items of the night.

Live Auction items aren't just for your kids! Other hot ticket items include the chance to bid to display your college flag at the Spark Park, and even snag reserved seats for the end-of-year grade-level awards.

It is exciting, fun to watch, and even more fun to win.
